This day is a travel day with a stop to see an old friend Vance Young in Ulysses, Ks.  He was the guy that introduced me and my brother to computers in the early ‘80s.  It was also nice to see the town after 23 years.  Not much has changed.  It is still small but alittle larger that when we were there.  Our old house is a lot smaller than I remember.  It was for sale and if I had more time I would have set up a time to see the house.  I got to show the kids how flat southwest Kansas is and there was a rain storm coming and they got a view of it unlike they could get here.  We made a stop by the scout house and the scouts were there returning from summer camp and after some talking with the leader it turned out he was someone in my class when we were there.  I had a year book with me and he seemed to know where most people were.  It was an interesting time.

We left and drove to a hotel in Goodland, KS and spent the night.
